Apple Pay tipping
Apple Pay can make authorization fast because the customer uses a payment method already stored on the device. The wallet solves the authorization step; a tipping product still needs to identify the correct recipient, disclose the amount, and process the transaction securely.

Apple Pay presents the final amount and lets the customer authorize with the device’s supported authentication. Payment credentials are transmitted through the supported payment flow rather than being entered into the tipping website.

Before Apple Pay appears, the customer must reach the correct worker or service point, choose the gratuity, and see any applicable fee disclosure. Gratuitease uses nearby discovery to reduce the identification steps.

Gratuitease uses Stripe for payment processing. Gratuitease does not store full card or bank account numbers, and using Stripe does not by itself make every aspect of the Gratuitease platform PCI compliant.

Gratuitease is available for iPhone with Apple Pay. Android and Android payments are planned future capabilities and are not presented as currently available.
