Payments
Stripe processes the money. Gratuitease connects the moment.
Credentials protected
Payment credentials go directly to Stripe. Gratuitease does not store full card or bank account numbers.

The worker keeps the full tip. An applicable customer technology fee is disclosed separately before authorization.
Beacon security
A Gratuitease beacon is provisioned—not casually paired.
Worker beacons are configured for the Gratuitease system and protected against unauthorized reconfiguration.
Securely assigned
Each wearable is provisioned specifically for its assigned Gratuitease worker.
Locked against changes
A worker-set beacon password protects the configuration from unauthorized access or reconfiguration.
Gratuitease-compatible only
Only approved beacons provisioned for Gratuitease can be connected to a worker account.
Location permission
Nearby discovery—not continuous tracking.
Gratuitease does not build or store a continuous GPS location history.
Location permission enables Apple’s beacon-ranging framework. We may record transaction location and proximity events for payment security, support, fraud prevention, and business analytics.

Used to power discovery and operational analytics.
Transaction context
May be recorded for security, support, and fraud prevention.
Offline behavior
Discover now. Authorize when service returns.
Bluetooth discovery and tip scheduling can work without Wi-Fi or cellular service. Your pending tip is saved locally. When connectivity returns, open it and authorize the payment with Apple Pay.
Apple Pay on iPhone
Gratuitease supports Apple Pay on iPhone. Google can be used for fast account authentication, while Google Pay and Android payments are planned future capabilities.
