Gratuitease

How Gratuitease works

No vague promises.
Here’s every step.

Gratuitease uses Bluetooth proximity to bring the right worker to the top. No QR code, website, or username search between the service and the tip.

Set up once

The first visit takes minutes. Every tip after takes seconds.

Install Gratuitease for the fastest repeat experience. At participating properties, an App Clip or guest flow can also let a customer tip without installing the full app or creating a permanent account.

Your first visit

01

Open Gratuitease

Download the full app, or use an available App Clip at a participating property.

02

Continue your way

Tip as a guest or sign in quickly with Apple or Google. An account adds persistent tip history.

03

Use Apple Pay

With Apple Pay configured, full card details do not have to be typed into Gratuitease.

Every repeat tip

Open.
See your worker.
Tap. Done.

No repeated account setup. No repeated payment entry. Open the app, tap an amount beside the worker, and confirm with Apple Pay.

Nearby discovery

Here is what happens when you want to tip.

The app continuously refreshes eligible nearby workers and orders the list so the person most relevant to your service interaction is easier to reach.

01

Open Gratuitease

The nearby list begins refreshing automatically.

02

Bluetooth discovers eligible workers

No venue Wi-Fi, website, QR code, or username is required for discovery.

03

The right worker rises to the top

The ranking method remains proprietary; the customer simply gets a better ordered list.

04

Tap the amount beside the worker

Choose a suggested amount or enter a custom gratuity.

05

Confirm with Apple Pay

A normal connected tip can be completed in under ten seconds.

The complete customer flow

Open the app.
See the worker.
Tap the amount.

Compared with other methods

QR codes remove cash. They don’t remove the hunt.

Different providers use different flows. This comparison shows the steps commonly required by QR/web tipping and username-based payment apps.

01

Discover

Bluetooth still finds the eligible nearby worker without Wi-Fi or cellular service.

02

Schedule

The customer selects the worker and amount while the service interaction is still fresh.

03

Authorize when online

When connectivity returns, open the pending tip and authorize it with Apple Pay before payment is created.

For workers

Every shift starts with Start Earning.

Workers choose between free iPhone mode and the $5.99/month wearable. Both modes use the same account and begin with a fresh earning session for every shift.

Free — use the iPhone

Unlock when the customer is ready.

The worker starts the shift once, locks the phone while working, and unlocks it at the tipping moment. The active earning session resumes broadcasting automatically.

Wearable — $5.99/month

Start the shift. Put the phone away.

The wearable keeps the worker discoverable without requiring the phone to be unlocked or handled during the service interaction.

Privacy without vague language

Nearby discovery is not continuous GPS tracking.

Location permission enables Apple’s beacon-ranging framework. Gratuitease does not build or store a continuous GPS history, but may record transaction location and proximity events for security, support, fraud prevention, and business analytics.
