What is Gratuitease?+
Gratuitease is a digital tipping platform designed to help customers find and tip eligible nearby service professionals without cash, a username search, or a QR code.
How does Gratuitease find the right worker?+
Gratuitease uses Bluetooth proximity and active earning sessions to surface eligible nearby workers. Business rules and fixed-location beacons can support bell, housekeeping, and car-wash teams.
Do workers need to buy a wearable?+
No. Workers can use free iPhone mode. The optional wearable is designed for hands-free discovery while the worker keeps their phone put away.
Does Gratuitease take part of a worker's tip?+
Gratuitease does not deduct its fee from the worker's selected tip. A $0.12 platform fee applies to each card-funded tip, and an applicable technology fee is itemized separately before authorization. Tips funded entirely by eligible Gratuitease promotional credit do not incur either fee.
Can businesses support direct tips and tip pools?+
Yes. Participating businesses can configure direct routing or approved tip pools, along with divisions, schedules, eligibility windows, and manager controls.
Can Gratuitease work without cellular service?+
Bluetooth discovery can identify nearby eligible workers without venue Wi-Fi or cellular service. Payment settlement still requires connectivity and can be submitted when service returns.

Gratuitease is available for iPhone through the Apple App Store. Android is a planned future platform.
